A portable blood pressure monitor that wraps around the wrist to simply and accurately measure blood pressure and pulse rate.

With an easy fitting wrist cuff, this convenient blood pressure monitor is very easy to use. With the cuff in place, simply press one button and the device will automatically inflate to the correct pressure while you relax. The monitor uses the oscillometric principle to measure blood pressure (systolic pressure being the top number and diastolic pressure being the bottom number) along with pulse rate. Includes a 90 memory storage capacity, allowing you to keep a record of the last 90 readings for comparison. The blood pressure monitor uses 2 x AAA batteries (included at time of purchase) and features a low batter indicator to let you know that batteries need to be changed. The monitor will also automatically power down when not in use, helping to conserve battery lifespan. The oscillometric principle works by sensing the strength of oscillations caused by the blood as it begins to flow again into the limb. When your heart beats, it contracts and pushes blood through the arteries to the rest of your body. This force creates pressure on the arteries. This is called systolic blood pressure. A normal systolic blood pressure is 120 or below. A systolic blood pressure of 120-139 means you have normal blood pressure that is higher than ideal. The diastolic blood pressure number or the bottom number indicates the pressure in the arteries when the heart rests between beats. A normal diastolic blood pressure number is 80 or less. A diastolic blood pressure between 80 and 89 is normal but higher than ideal.
