The Care Quip Glide 3 Heavy Duty Wheelchair is a reinforced manual wheelchair designed to provide reliable mobility and seating support for bariatric users. Manufactured in Australia, it combines a durable stainless-steel folding frame with lightweight components, removable supports, and quick-release rear wheels for easier handling and transportation.
The wheelchair includes swing-away removable legrests, a calf strap, and removable armrests to assist with transfers and positioning. Wide polyurethane front castors provide stable manoeuvrability, while the aluminium snap-lock cross brace helps reduce seat-upholstery sag. On the wider 490 mm, 520 mm, and 550 mm models, an upholstery tensioner provides additional backrest support.
Available in several seat widths, the Glide 3 Heavy Duty Wheelchair supports users up to 180 kg and is suitable for home care, rehabilitation, aged care, disability support, and community mobility.
