Product Description
The Immedia Butterfly Transfer Board is a long, wide and stable seated transfer board designed to support safer transfers between surfaces such as a bed, wheelchair, shower chair, toilet or car seat. Its low-friction upper surface helps users transfer independently or with assistance, while the non-slip pads underneath help keep the board securely positioned during use.
The curved board design includes special cut-outs that allow closer positioning around a wheelchair wheel, helping reduce transfer gaps and improve stability. Made from durable fibreglass, the Butterfly Transfer Board offers a firm and supportive transfer surface for use in home care, aged care, rehabilitation, disability support and clinical environments.
For transfers involving bare skin, such as moving to or from a shower chair or toilet, the optional Butterfly GlideWing can be used to provide an additional low-friction sliding surface. Available in Large and Extra Large sizes, the GlideWing slides along the board to help reduce friction and support smoother transfers.
Important: A transfer and manual-handling risk assessment should be completed before use. Do not use the board in wet conditions.
