The KCare Essence Assist Shower Commode (KA1017) is an attendant‑propelled shower and toileting aid intended to support individuals who require physical assistance to access bathroom activities safely. It is designed for use in home, residential aged care and supported living environments, where supervised mobility and positioning are required during personal care.
The commode incorporates a stainless steel frame to provide structural stability and durability in wet environments. A contoured ergonomic seat with tool‑less height adjustment allows the seating position to be set between 500–600 mm, supporting safe positioning relative to the user’s functional needs and the carer’s handling requirements.
Swing‑up armrests assist with side transfers where appropriate, while height‑adjustable swing‑away footrests and fold‑away textured footplates support lower limb positioning and reduce obstruction during transfers. The machine‑washable backrest supports routine hygiene and infection‑control practices.
With a compact wheelbase and overall width of 645 mm, the Essence Assist Shower Commode is designed to facilitate manoeuvrability in confined bathroom spaces. The product has a maximum safe user weight of 160 kg and is intended to be used with attendant assistance at all times.
