The KCare Essence Comfort Plus Shower Commode (KA1016‑R) is an attendant‑assisted shower and toileting aid designed to support individuals who require postural support, assisted positioning and supervised mobility during personal care tasks. It is suitable for use in home, residential care and supported living environments.
This model features advanced tilt‑in‑space with recline functionality, enabling the user’s position to be adjusted while maintaining seat‑to‑back angle alignment. This can assist with postural stability, comfort and pressure management during extended showering or toileting activities, where clinically appropriate.
The commode is constructed with a stainless steel frame to provide structural stability, corrosion resistance and durability in wet environments. A contoured ergonomic seat with tool‑less height adjustment allows the seat height to be set between 500–600 mm, supporting appropriate alignment for both users and attending carers.
Swing‑up armrests assist with lateral transfers where suitable, while height‑adjustable swing‑away footrests and fold‑away textured footplates support lower limb positioning and reduce obstruction during transfers. A machine‑washable backrest supports routine hygiene and infection‑control requirements.
