The Care Quip Optimal 5zon Pressure Care Mattress is a high-quality static foam mattress replacement designed to support pressure redistribution, comfort, and skin protection for users who spend extended periods in bed.
Its zoned, castellated foam surface is engineered to provide different levels of immersion and support across the body, helping distribute pressure more evenly while improving comfort around vulnerable areas such as the heels, hips, and shoulders. The two-layer foam construction is also designed to reduce the effect of shear forces during repositioning.
The patented DuoCore® sit function provides additional support beneath the pelvis and thighs when the bed is profiled into a seated position, helping the user maintain a more stable and upright posture. This makes the mattress suitable for use with electric care beds in home care, hospitals, rehabilitation centres, aged care facilities, and supported accommodation.
Supplied with a soft four-way-stretch hygienic cover, the Optimal 5zon helps maintain a comfortable microclimate while offering fluid resistance and easy cleaning. It is designed to assist in the prevention and treatment of pressure injuries up to and including Category 2, subject to clinical assessment and an appropriate care plan.
