Product Overview
The Patient Handling Bed Heel Elevator is specifically crafted to enhance blood flow and pressure care under the calf. Made from contoured foam, this elevator provides comfortable support for the calf. Patients can comfortably rest their leg on the Bed Heel Elevator while lying on their back or side. For situations where both heels require elevation, two bed heel elevators can be used together. These elevators can be joined using the hook and loop fastening positioned on the side of the sweat-resistant cover, ensuring a secure and comfortable fit. The Patient Handling Bed Heel Elevator is extremely easy to use.
Position the patient’s calf in the centre of the Bed Heel Elevator, with the patient’s heel suspended in the air above the mattress. If required, a cotton sheet can be draped over the Bed Heel Elevator to prevent sweating by patients. The Bed Heel Elevator can be used with patients positioned in long sitting, supine or on their side and can be used under each calf for bilateral disorders. When the device is used with patients unable to mobilise their own ankle, a carer or nurse should periodically reposition the elevator up and down the calf to facilitate blood flow and ensure an even spread of pressure over the back of the leg.
